New sprinkler requirements for four-storey wood-frame buildings

BC’s Fire Chiefs thank the Provincial Government for their actions in changing the Building Code to require fire sprinklers to be installed on the balconies of all new four-storey wood-frame residential buildings. This is a very positive action in advance of the normal Code review cycle that will enhance public safety and property protection.
